I’m Jo

Owner of and clinician at Unity Therapy and Yoga

I’m a therapist and yoga teacher in Savannah, Georgia. I love helping people find peaceful ways of relating to food, their bodies, and their partners.

I believe that when we live in a world full of information about what we should eat, what our bodies should look like, and what kind of sex we should be having, it’s no wonder we so often feel depressed, anxious, or out of control. I would love to help you explore what calm, freedom, and peace could look like for you.

I am under the supervision of Shannon MathisMeyer, LCSW, CACII, consistent with GA Rule 135.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is calm, welcoming, and down-to-earth (and sometimes funny and irreverent if the moment calls for it).

I use a blend of internal family systems therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivation interviewing, and somatic approaches to healing.

I am welcoming and open to incorporating your religion or spirituality, or not, and I am welcoming and affirming to members of the queer, kink, and ethical non-monogamy communities.
